The main beach resort in Chile is located only 10 km north of Valparaiso. It is popularly known as the Garden City because of its meticulous and subtropical landscapes of palm and banana trees.
The horse-drawn carriages parade in front of beautiful mansions of the late nineteenth century along the River. Among its other attractions include white sand beaches, numerous parks and notable museums, installed in restored mansions. The city also counts on with the National Botanic Garden of Chile, with 61 acres of endogenous and exotic plants.
